Study of antirestenosis with the BiodivYsio dexamethasone-eluting stent (STRIDE): a first-in-human multicenter pilot trial.

چکیده
The aim of this multicenter pilot study was to evaluate the acute safety and efficacy of the dexamethasone-eluting stent (0.5 microg/mm(2) of stent) implanted in patients with de novo single-vessel disease. This study included 71 patients, 42% of whom had unstable angina pectoris. An appropriately sized BiodivYsio Matrix Lo stent loaded with a total dexamethasone dose of 0.5 microg/mm(2) of stent was used. Technical device success rate was 95%. Six-month MACE occurred in two patients (3.3%). Binary restenosis rate was 13.3%. Late loss was 0.45. Late loss and percent diameter stenosis were lower in the unstable angina pectoris patients compared to the stable patients (0.32 +/- 0.39 vs. 0.60 +/- 0.55 mm, P < 0.07, and 26.86 +/- 14 vs. 38.40 +/- 16%, P < 0.02). This study demonstrated the feasibility and safety of the implantation of a dexamethasone-eluting stent and its effect on in-stent neointimal hyperplasia.

Overview of Intracoronary Brachytherapy for in-Stent Restenosis of a Drug-Eluting Stent
Percutaneous coronary intervention with stenting is considered recently as the most common procedure for the treatment of symptomatic coronary. The article reviewed 41 studies published during 1997-2019 on intracoronary brachytherapy for in-stent restenosis of a drug-eluting stent. Intracoronary radiation therapy was finally confirmed in the setting of in-stent restenosis using as adjunctive th...
متن کاملAngiographic and clinical comparison of novel Orsiro Hybrid sirolimus-eluting stents and Resolute Integrity zotarolimus-eluting stents in all-comers with coronary artery disease (ORIENT trial): study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND The Orsiro Hybrid sirolimus-eluting stent is a newly developed third-generation drug-eluting stent, featuring a unique dual-polymer mix. An active bioabsorbable polymer delivers the anti-proliferative drug, sirolimus, via controlled release, while a passive biocompatible polymeric coating shields the metallic strut from surrounding tissue, preventing interaction. To date, the Orsiro ...
متن کاملFirst Report of the Resolute Onyx 2.0-mm Zotarolimus-Eluting Stent for the Treatment of Coronary Lesions With Very Small Reference Vessel Diameter.
OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to explore the safety and efficacy of a dedicated drug-eluting stent for the treatment of coronary lesions with very small reference vessel diameter (RVD). BACKGROUND Smaller RVD is associated with increased risk for restenosis and target lesion failure (TLF) after stent implantation. METHODS This was a prospective, single-arm, multicenter trial of the R...

The first aim of this study was to evaluate the biocompatibility and degradation as well as potential clinical use of a new biodegradable PLGA (copolymer of L-lactide and glycolide acid) urethral stent with a braided mesh configuration. The second and at the same time, the main objective of this study was to develop a new drug-eluting biodegradable urethral stent. The biocompatibility profile o...

Background: Cardiovascular diseases alone have become the leading cause of death worldwide. One of the treatment methods cardiovascular disease is angioplasty. This study aimed to investigate the clinical results after coronary artery angioplasty, based on the incidence of major cardiovascular events with emphasis on stent types. Methods: In this retrospective cross-sectional study, the preval...
